Description We are looking to hire a detailed-oriented Accounting Clerk in the manufacturing sector, based in Arlington, Massachusetts. This role involves handling a variety of accounting and customer service tasks, including reconciling bank accounts, processing sales orders, and handling customer inquiries. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Reconcile bank accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting Process sales orders and verify shipping information for accuracy Handle Amazon orders and customer service calls, providing excellent customer service Prepare and send customer invoices, ensuring timely and accurate billing Enter cash receipts and make collection calls as necessary Review customer data patterns to identify trends and potential issues Assist the Accounts Payable team with vendor invoice entry Send remittance information to customers as needed Perform other office duties as required to support the accounting team Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Invoice Processing to perform tasks efficiently and accurately. Requirements Candidate must have a strong background in the manufacturing industry. Experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role is necessary. Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is a critical requirement for this role. Ability to process invoices efficiently and accurately is expected. A solid understanding of general accounting principles is required. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is necessary. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills are required. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Attention to detail and problem-solving ability are key requirements. Ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary. Confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information is expected. A bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
