GENERAL SUMMARY

Tonneson + Co is a dynamic and fast-growing CPA firm in Wakefield, MA. We are looking for a Tax Admin Assistant to join our growing team. This position is responsible for providing a broad spectrum of support to the Tax Department in a fast paced, challenging and rewarding environment. This position will work closely with the Tax Executives and Tax Administrator on various projects and day to day assignments. Requirements include extensive people, communication, organizational, technical and process skills, and the ability to continuously prioritize multiple projects in a fast paced environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assist with facilitating day to day processes within the department

Review of correspondence, reports, and other documents; prioritizes such materials and prepares summaries as necessary

Assist in development of training materials and department communications

Assist in maintaining databases, spreadsheets, project trackers, etc. to be current and accurate

Assist with third party vender follow-up and project management

Coordinates with Tax Administrator to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of workflows

PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Associate’s degree in business, accounting or related field preferred

1+ years in an administrative capacity with Tax operations needed

Intermediate to advanced proficiency with all Microsoft applications

Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously

Tech savvy with the ability and desire to embrace necessary software applications i.e. CCH Axcess applications, ProSystem Fx, SurePrep, SafeSend Return (SSR), RightSignature

Strong attention to detail with precise follow-through

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Calm under pressure with a common sense and flexible approach to situations

Basic understanding of accounting and/or its environment is a plus

Flexibility to work additional hours during peak periods of the year
