The Boston Smoked Fish Co. is looking for friendly and outgoing sales associates to join our team and be Brand Ambassador's for our 2024 Farmers’ Market season. Join a fast-growing, exciting new food business! In this position, you will be running one of our stalls at weekly farmers' markets in and around Boston. Saturday is a required shift and more days are possible.

A car/truck/SUV is required

The Boston Smoked Fish Co. is setting a higher standard for premium quality smoked fish products. Our processing facility is located on Boston's historic Fish Pier and we participate in roughly 15 farmers' markets a week. In addition, our products are carried in many retail stores in the Boston area, including the new Boston Public Market. Our enthusiastic sales team is comprised of highly capable and multi-faceted individuals who have a passion for great food and sustainable smoked seafood. We work hard but have fun! This is a perfect open air opportunity to gain valuable sales, retail, networking, and food experience!

Key responsibilities of this position include:

-representing The Boston Smoked Fish Co. and our products at Boston-area farmer’s markets,

-engaging with customers face-to-face to explain the unique aspects of our products, techniques, and company,

-ensuring a good customer experience,

-listening to customers and reporting feedback,

-ensuring adherence to standards and food safety regulations at each market,

-conducting demos at local retail stores; and,

-effectively monitoring and managing inventory.

position. Saturday's only, or up to 3 more days per week are possible. Typical days are 6 -10 hours, including travel from our facility on the Boston Fish Pier (Seaport) to market and back. Sales experience is strongly preferred since farmers' markets are the backbone of our business!

Car/truck/SUV is required as driving is necessary to the position. You will be reimbursed for gas and mileage.

Pay includes base hourly wage + commission on all market sales + overtime (if necessary). W2.
