We are looking for a full time Ophthalmic Technician or Medical Assistant with a desire to work in Ophthalmology. Qualifications include positive, team-player attitude, ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with a broad age demographic- primarily the elderly as well as perform diagnostic testing and pre-exam procedures.
HOURS- Mon-Thurs 8:00-5:00; Fri 8:00-2:00. Closed on weekends.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Strong communication and interpersonal skills including an award-winning smile.
2. Empathetic personality giving attention to patient's needs and concerns.
3. Willingness to learn.
4. Computer literacy.
5. EMR knowledge.
6. Must be able to perform duties efficiently.
7. Must be punctual and dependable daily.
8. Must be able to read and write in English.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. High school diploma, or equivalent.
2. No experience necessary.
3. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
