I'm a college student at MIT writing to see if you might be available for a cooking project. My goal is to find a way to have good, simple meals that I can easily eat during the school week. I've tried finding recipes online, but more often than not, they end up being too difficult to make, or they just don't taste very good, which has been really frustrating. I have spent so much time and money to get a single dish right because I do not have any cooking skills. I need help.
What I'm looking for is a chef who can help me build a small menu of simple, student-friendly meals that I actually like. The ultimate plan would be to perfect these recipes so they can be batch-cooked, frozen, and reheated. I am not opposed to using store-bought ingredients like sauce.
To get to that point, I'd need to work with you pretty closely. The process I have in mind is:
You propose and prepare a simple dish. I can offer suggestions of meals that I tend to eat or what I would really like to pin down.
I give you honest feedback on what I like or don't like (e.g., flavor, ingredients).
You'd be open to re-making the same dish, maybe a few times, tweaking it until we get it just right.
If this type of project sounds interesting to you, I'd love to discuss it further.
