Trustworthy custodian needed to clean, set-up and maintain a church building and nursery school program.
First Parish Church in Weston is looking for two part-time Sextons (i.e. Custodians) to split between 35-40 hours per week. Duties include general cleaning of various meeting and event spaces in the building, setting up and breaking down for meetings and functions, and some seasonal landscape and site maintenance work. Some of the work can be done off hours and some needs to occur during business hours when other staff are onsite.
Skills Required:
Basic building maintenance skills, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, manage a project, and interact with a variety of different people. A sense of humor and willingness to learn. Can train the right person.
Compensation: $22-24/hour depending on experience.
Hours/Schedule: Must be available on most Sunday mornings.
Vacation: Two weeks paid vacation per year to start. Part-time employees will be afforded 2-weeks of vacation time, in August and/or July, based on a prorated share of hours worked per week.(Note: There are no services during the month of July. Limited summer schedule.)
