Job Title: Front Desk Receptionist – Dental Office

Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our dental practice. This role is the first point of contact for our patients and plays an essential part in maintaining smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will be professional, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities

Patient Communication & Customer Service

Greet patients warmly upon arrival and ensure a positive, welcoming experience.

Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally; route calls as needed.

Respond to patient text messages and emails in a timely and courteous manner.

Provide information regarding appointments, services, office policies, and financial procedures.

Appointment Management

Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.

Check patients in and out efficiently.

Verify patient information and update records as needed.

Coordinate appointment reminders and follow-up communications.

Financial & Administrative Duties

Collect payments, co-pays, and outstanding balances.

Process transactions, generate receipts, and maintain accurate financial records.

Assist with insurance verification and documentation when necessary.

Maintain an organized front desk area and ensure confidentiality of patient information.

Operational Support

Maintain communication between the front office and clinical staff.

Prepare and manage daily schedules, lists, and reports.

Perform general office duties such as filing, data entry, and scanning documents.

Support additional administrative tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a dental or healthcare office preferred.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a busy environment.

Comfortable using practice management software, computers, email, and texting systems.

Professional, positive attitude with strong attention to detail.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Work Environment
