Job Description:

NEMT Dispatcher/Operations Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive NEMT (Non-Emergency Medical Transportation) Dispatcher/Operations Manager to manage and coordinate transportation services for patients. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient scheduling, maintain communication with drivers and clients, and provide exceptional customer service while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Scheduling and Coordination:

Coordinate and schedule transportation services for patients, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs.

Maintain an up-to-date schedule of appointments and driver availability.

Communication:

Act as the primary point of contact for drivers, clients, and healthcare facilities, facilitating clear and effective

communication.

Address any questions or concerns from patients and families regarding transportation services.

Monitoring and Problem-Solving:

Monitor transportation routes in real-time to ensure timely service delivery and resolve any issues that arise during

transit.

Implement contingency plans for unexpected delays or changes in patient schedules.

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of transportation requests, schedules, and driver assignments.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.

Customer Service:

Provide exceptional customer service to clients, ensuring a positive experience throughout the transportation

process.

Follow up with patients and healthcare facilities to gather feedback and address any concerns.

Collaboration:

Work closely with drivers and other team members to optimize service delivery and improve operational efficiency.

Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate patient needs and ensure appropriate transportation

accommodations.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Transportation, or a related field; Master’s

degree preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in transportation or healthcare services.

Proven track record of leadership and team management.

Previous experience in dispatch, transportation coordination, or a related field is preferred.

Familiarity with NEMT services and regulations is a plus.

Skills:

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in using dispatch software and other relevant technology. (Medi-route)

Proficient in operational software and technologies used in transportation management.

Knowledge of the Northshore and Greater Boston area is a must!

English to read and write in English is required.

Ability to speak Spanish or Creole is a plus

Work Environment: This position typically involves working in an office setting, with occasional interaction with drivers and clients. Flexibility in scheduling may be required to accommodate varying transportation needs. Typical work schedule is 6am - 6pm, Monday through Friday.
