The AKTA Sales Specialist for Cytiva is responsible for the sale of the AKTA Chromatography Systems and for the sales of the associated products that go along with the Instruments . This position is part of the Discovery and Medical company in Cytiva located in Cambridge MA and will be remote. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

AKTA Sales Specialists provide Lab Chromatography support to the life sciences industry with expert product knowledge, training, and support while working to generate sales from new and existing customers for the Lab AKTA portfolio. This role should be able to evaluate a customer's process to identify solutions and provide the necessary tools, information, and support to obtain additional sales and identify new opportunities.

Financial Performance - Accountable for achieving operating plan targets for assigned territory. Timely and accurate forecasting of pipeline & sales using SFDC. Create quarterly business plans for territory/assigned accounts including, but not limited to, opportunity generation, development, and closure as well as competitive strategies and targets.

Build strong relationships & formulate account strategies to continuously strengthen relationships with decision-makers.

Technical sales role focused on selling to chromatography applications with design-in and scale-up of the AKTA brand and chromatography resin/column solutions in mind. Continuously update understanding of the customers' changing operational issues and challenges.

Execute successful product demonstrations, customer training, seminars, workshops, and promotional activities with support from Field Marketing and Field Application Scientist teams.

The essential requirements of the job include :

Good understanding and knowledge of the Biopharmaceutical /Biotech/Academic research segments. Bachelor’s degree in Life Science or equivalent years of experience; Advanced degree preferred. 3 years of post-bachelor experience in laboratory or R&D job roles

Preferred to possess an understanding of sales processes as typically acquired through 3 years of sales experience with laboratory products, equipment, or services in the Life Sciences and/or Applied Market

Willingness to travel within the assigned geographic territory. This territory is based in Cambridge MA.

We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
