job detailsjob summary:A Materials Planner is needed in the Gloucester, MA area for an American corporation that supplies equipment, services and software for the manufacture of semiconductor chips for electronics, flat panel displays for computers, smartphones, televisions, and solar products. This role focuses on coordinating production, inventory, and process control activities to ensure material availability, system accuracy, and project support, primarily through MRP, Oracle, and data analysis tools in a manufacturing setting.location: Gloucester, Massachusettsjob type: Contractsalary: $19.85 - 21.17 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: High Schoolresponsibilities:
Maintain Oracle work order release schedule for timely material availability in manufacturing and engineering.
Conduct pre-shortage analysis to improve component availability at release.
Perform work order variance analysis.
Review and ensure accuracy in MRP execution; reconcile supply/demand and validate master scheduling and PDS requirements.
Oversee and properly manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and conduct regular system audits for accuracy.
Prepare status reports on all ECOs and ECRs in progress.
Participate in floor audits with Finance and resolve Work in Process (WIP) issues.
Provide updates on material shortage commit dates in production meetings.
Skills:
Demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in own discipline and broadens capabilities.
Use tools like SAP, Excel, and Smartsheet for effective work management.
