We are seeking a highly motivated, collaborative Automation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll take responsibility for the successful development, implementation, validation and deployment of new laboratory processes and robotic equipment. As a key member of the Automation team, you'll have the opportunity to work with an amazing group of scientists across an array of disciplines (molecular biology, high content screening, purification, next generation sequencing, bioinformatics and IT lab systems, application testing ( e.g. Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry ). In this role you will be responsible for leveraging your laboratory experience and familiarity with automation to gain understanding of multidisciplinary workflows and bottlenecks. You will be responsible for working closely with scientists to develop and/or improve automated lab processes utilizing various laboratory automation equipment. Your key focus as part of the automation group is to remove any operational bottlenecks, improving efficiency, throughput, increasing data quality, automating data analysis and reducing operational costs. In parallel, you will drive our quality control program to ensure systems are operating within manufacturers specifications You'll have the opportunity to.- Learn how to program most commonly used robotic platforms in the industry

- BS or MS in Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or similar field with 2+ years lab experience
- Passion for continuous improvement and out of the box thinking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong drive and proven track record of self learning
- Experience with the following is preferred, but not required
- Hamilton, Beckman, Tecan, Agilent and Perkin Elmer programming experience
- Assay development experience
- Past experience in a high throughput screening environment
