Solidus is searching for a Systems Administrator.

Candidate will join a team that provides assessments of novel technologies and system concepts in solution of defense intelligence needs. Successful individual will support a wide variety IT tasks across a diverse set of network and computer resources. They will be responsible maintaining and improving the teams computer resources and meeting government IT security requirements. Candidate will develop creative technical solutions to complex IT problems. One must be able to expand and maintain computer hardware, software, and networks for a variety of operating systems and provide direct desktop support to 40 users as part of a larger IT team.

Remote: Hybrid - Onsite 4 days a week

Requirements - Active Secret Clearance - 5 years minimum relevant experience

Required Experience - Operating Systems i.e., UNIX/Linux, Windows, OSX, VMware, Cisco IOS - Hardware i.e., Intel/AMD, Cisco, Sun/Oracle, Dell, Apple, EMC, NetApp - Software/applications i.e., SAP, Microsoft Office Suite MS Active Directory, LDAP, Java, Javascript, SQL, BMC Footprints, VMware, SCCM 2012, SCOM 2012, EMC Networker, Solarwinds - Networking applications and protocols i.e., TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, DHCP, SSH, FTP and HTTP/S - Proxy and Load Balancing - Perl, Python, Shell Scripting, Powershell - System auditing, hardening and firewall configurations - Configure and Manage Centralized Logging and Audit Capabilities - Enterprise Backup Solutions - SCCM, and Active Directory - Strong Backup Experience - Proven Ability to Protect Mission Critical Data - System Auditing, Hardening and Firewall Configurations - VM management, Snapshots, SANs and iSCSI Storage Systems - VMWare ESXi and Associated Management Systems - Windows Patch Management

Additionally Desired - Experience with research high performance and real-time computing environments - DoD IT security requirements and procedures, RMF & STIG - Highly effective knowledge of Linux RHEL/CentOS 6/7 and especially Ubuntu 16/18/20 - Microsoft Windows 7/10, Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 -Certification in one or more of the following: Security+, Comp Tia A+, Network+

Responsibilities include - Procure needed computer systems, network hardware, software, etc. - Install, configure, and manage, Linux, desktops and servers, network infrastructure and some Windows and Mac systems - Install and maintain all commercial software - Regularly patch and perform backups for group computer systems - Manage networks, file shares, virtual infrastructures, and SAN/NAS environments - Remediate vulnerabilities and maintain compliance with policies and procedures - Coordinate with ISSO for all group Systems Security Plans - Document IT procedures - Represent team for inter-organizational interactions such as infrastructure and security working groups
