Shield Management, a property management firm located in Worcester and Southbridge, MA, is seeking a rockstar maintenance technician to join our expanding team. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our residents needs are being met, keeping their apartments in good shape and resolving issues efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Visit apartments to fix various issues as dispatched by our maintenance manager
Keep logs of your time at each project/work efficiently to complete 4-6 work orders daily
Proactively alert our maintenance manager of any surprises or possible upcoming maintenance issues to get ahead of problems before they arise
Be polite and professional with our residents to ensure a great experience - you'll be the face of the business! Let's make a great impression
Assist with other projects such as showing vacant apartments or renovating apartments when available around normal work orders and maintenance
Required Skills:
Ability to triage minor plumbing issues
Ditto minor electrical issues
Knowledge of heat systems and ability to diagnose problems and resolve some
Basic drywall repair and painting ability
ability to efficiently clean out apartments when someone leaves a mess behind and ensure the details are cared for such as getting the fridge and stove clean so the next resident likes what they see when they have a showing
Bonus skills:
installation of LVP/LVT flooring
refinishing hardwood floors
installing tile
changing toilets
hanging cabinets
Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive base salary with potential for year end bonuses based on excellent performance. In addition, we provide paid time off for our employees. This role will require significant traveling between job sites as we are a regional company operating throughout Worcester County and other parts of Massachusetts.
Pay Scale
$24-27/hr starting wage, potential for increases based on performance.
