The successful candidate will participate in the clinical teaching of learners andclinical care of patients in the outpatient setting. The U-M Department of Psychiatryinvolves more than 150 faculty across all areas, robust research programs, busy generaland subspecialized clinical programs, and clinical and research training opportunities.The ideal candidate for this position will focus on provision of high-quality clinical careand education in a highly multidisciplinary ambulatory setting. This includes generalpsychiatric care for children and adolescents with anxiety, mood disorders and otherdiagnostic domains, e.g., ADHD, based on skill and interest. The candidate will share inteaching responsibilities of medical learners including medical students, house officers,and clinical fellows.In addition to direct patient care, our faculty have the opportunity to:Participate in or lead quality improvement and research effortsProvide mentorship, didactic teaching, and engage in patient care activities withlearners in related disciplines including social work and psychology.Academic interests are encouraged.
