This position will, under general direction, be responsible for the coordination of multiple concurrent programs for faculty appointments and promotions by providing specialty expertise to ensure quality and standards compliance for Michigan Medicine faculty workforce administration, documentation, and workflows. Responsibilities

Coordinate the faculty hiring process for the Medical School including offer letter reviews and background checks.

Facilitate the appointment process for approximately 350-400 new faculty hires per year. Assist the track specialists in problem solving and provide direction on workflow management.

Coordinate the faculty promotion process for the Medical School (approximately 220 casebooks annually).

Develop program timelines and work plans, schedules, resource plans, and evaluate opportunities for program improvement.

Create process documentation, templates, and deliverables

Prepare various provost and regents communications on behalf of executive leadership.

Prepare and deliver staff training workshops to provide best practice, mentoring, and implement solutions to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Business, etc.) and 2 years of experience in faculty affairs or a combination of education and experience that is equivalent.

Demonstrated ability to compose high-level university communications - consistent with desired outcomes, intent, style and format

Demonstrated ability to manage projects with varying levels of complexity and ambiguity

Demonstrated consistently: highly professional, team/customer-oriented service delivery

Desired Qualifications

Master's degree in human resources, Organizational Development, or Business

5 or more years of relevant experience.

Experience with University policies and procedures related to faculty
