Coordinate and provide nursing care to patients and families in the Pediatric Infusion Center at CW Mott Childrens Hospital.

Coordinate the nursing care of patients in the pediatric infusion area. To provide efficient throughput, the nurse in this role will provide nursing care to patients and families of the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant, and pediatric multi-specialty divisions receiving infusion therapy.

The candidate will demonstrate the ability to organize and manage multiple interventions simultaneously.

The candidate will have excellent computer skills with proficiency in all Microsoft software applications.

They will participate in the development of department goals and objectives by attending staff meetings, in-service programs, attending appropriate continuing education opportunities, staff development programs, as well as participating in Quality Improvement initiatives to support implementation of change.

Demonstrated critical thinking skills through use of the nursing process, excellent problem-solving skills, and demonstrated ability to set priorities.

Demonstrated customer service, interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to build respectful relationships within and between units and individuals.

Demonstrated accountability and dependability including a good attendance record with punctuality.

Demonstrated adaptability to changing needs and priorities based on unit, department, and institutional goals/objectives.

Proficiency with typing and electronic health record documentation.

Ability to manage complex clinical issues utilizing assessment skills, protocols, and evidence-based interventions.

Required QualificationsA current license in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse.? BSN

One (1) year of ICU, ED, or BMT experience

PALS

Professional nursing certification (CPHON, BMTCN, or Infusion Certification preferred)

Demonstrated experience in an ambulatory care setting.

Demonstrated experience with pediatric infusion.

Demonstrated ability to start peripheral IV access.

Work ScheduleHours/Week: 0.9 hours per week (36hrs). 8-hour or 9hr shiftsShift/Hours/Days: Day/ Evening Shift; Monday thru Friday with a possibility of weekend and holidays. Hours will vary, and flexibility is required.Monday through Friday during infusion operating hours: 7:30a to 6:30pLocation: CW Mott Childrens Hospital. This is not a remote position.
