Job Title: Lathe MachinistJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist to join our team on both 1st and 2nd shifts. You will be responsible for machining details from plate or flat stock according to blueprints to exact dimensions, producing hot runners for the plastic injection industry. This role involves working with a variety of materials including steel, copper, and nickel.Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints
Read and utilize measuring tools
Sharpen cutting tools
Perform own set-ups
Download and alter programs as necessary
Machine material to print specifications
Operate and manage the use of overhead cranes
Perform operations such as turning, boring, threading, drilling, reaming, milling flats, and grooving
Essential Skills
3 years of experience with 3-axis lathe operations
Ability to read blueprints
Proficient in reading digital micrometers and calipers
Experience in editing Haas/Fanuc controls to program
Familiarity with G&M code editing
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Programming experience is a plus
