job detailsjob summary:Large utility is looking for a Compliance Specialist in Clinton Township, MI. The Compliance Technician is responsible for ensuring gas leak compliance and conducting leak surveys for distribution assets, utilizing both paper and digital processes while adhering to regulatory standards and continuously improving operational procedures. This is a contract position estimated to last 13 months, possible extension, possible temp to perm. Schedule, monitor, and analyze distribution leak surveys.

Use both paper and digital processes for leak documentation.

Establish procedures for record-keeping, tracking information, and maintaining logs/spreadsheets.

Evaluate process and program effectiveness for continuous improvement.

Manage leak processes using GIS dashboards.

Perform basic leak data analysis using BI reporting.

Follow safety rules and contribute to the safety of coworkers and the public.

Skills:

Effective communication with coworkers and customers.

Leadership experience.

Ability to work independently and as a team player.

strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Desired Skills:

Extensive knowledge of SAP and SIMS.

Knowledge of the Global Leak Process and Inspection Manager.

Familiarity with Power BI and GIS.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent.

At least 2 years of applicable experience in gas distribution/service utility.

Preferred Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.#LI-AA1qualifications:
