The work:The project manager role is part of client and project team leadership. Root project managers are masters of project management methodologies, leading projects and providing guidance to their teams on best approaches to planning, executing, and monitoring the work. Root project managers are good leaders, communicators, and problem solvers who remain calm and level-headed in difficult situations. A Root project manager:Loves to multi-task: Manages five to seven projects at a time in addition to internal initiatives.

Brings order to chaos: Is comfortable with ambiguity at the start of the project. Works with clients and project team members to define the best path forward and then develops and communicates the project plan.

Gets things done: Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and takes the initiative to make things better. When faced with a roadblock, looks for creative ways to say yes and make things happen.

Creates a positive project culture: Builds an open, honest, and fun project culture, holding team members accountable for their work, and is willing to have difficult conversations when necessary.

Builds relationships with clients and grows our business: Contributes to account growth by driving successful projects and building relationships with client sponsors.

Develops others: Helps spread personal passion for the Root process by coaching others formally and informally and through strong working relationships.

Key Responsibilities:Project planning and initiation: Develops project plans and timelines. Works with Root project partners to gain alignment and commitment to the project plan before sharing with the client. Leverages standard Root processes and tools to maximize team productivity and reinforces use per standards.

Project execution: Manages projects to completion. Drives status meetings and reporting and proactively addresses tasks/milestones. Monitors work being done vs. the statement of work, addresses discrepancies with project leads, and proactively manages project financials.

Project close: Conducts project debrief meetings and identifies opportunities for process improvement. Identifies and follows up on additional client opportunities.

Travel:For now, all Accenture business travel, international and domestic, is currently restricted to client-essential sales/delivery activity only.Please note: The safety and well-being of our people continues to be the top priority, and our decisions around travel are informed by government COVID-19 response directives, recommendations from leading health authorities and guidance from a number of infectious disease experts.Here’s what you need:Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, operations management, or related field

3 or more years of progressive experience in project management

Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, agile development, and user-centered design

Demonstrated analytical, project coordination, and management skills

Excellent organizational, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills

Experience using Microsoft Office applications

Bonus points if:You’ve got experience working in a professional services environment directly interfacing with corporate clients

You’ve got experience with consultants, creatives, and learning designers

Project management certification

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $75,600 - $113,699 and information on benefits offered is here.
