Under the guidance of the General Manager, the Shipping & Receiving Manager will oversee shipping and receiving operations, plan office production, and act as a technical resource for the team. The Shipping and Receiving Manager will review inbound and outbound waste streams. Utilizing their strong leadership skills, the Shipping and Receiving Manager will ensure their staff track all waste in compliance with Clean Earth’s policy and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.Primary Responsibilities:

Acts as technical resource for the team. Supervises office staff and reviews inbound and outbound waste streams.

Uses background and experience along with teamwork to make confident decisions for the team and facility.

Works with management team to adhere to implement and develop standard work practices

Works with team to ensure that daily production goals are met

Oversees and trains an effective and efficient staff

Makes recommendations for merit increases and performance appraisals

Monitors operations and staff and recommends, when necessary, changes in methods, procedures and structure, to secure optimum utilization of resources

Administers all Company policies and procedures, communicates to staff, interprets, as necessary, and ensures compliance

Possesses strong communication and follow through skills to ensure all tasks are completed and location maintains compliance in all areas

Utilizes proactive thinking to identify potential issues and collaborates with management team to determine the proper resolution

Monitors and ensures that employees are performing their functions safely and productively. Makes recommendations for changes or improvement, when necessary, in order to prevent accident or injuries

Assists in ensuring the plant and office meets regulatory and safety compliance measures and operates in a productive and profitable manner

Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, either internally or externally

Maintains efficient paperwork flow to maximize production and profitability

Perform periodic audits and review of inbound containers and provides feedback to appropriate management group

Develop and maintain working relationships with vendors

Performs other duties as assigned by management

Basic Qualifications:

Associates degree in business or general studies

2+ years of experience in supervisory or leadership role

2+ year of experience in hazardous and regulated waste processing

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or related field

Demonstrates knowledge of Microsoft office and basic computer skills

Demonstrates knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations

Demonstrates the ability ensure that team members are performing their functions safely and productively

Demonstrates the ability to make recommendations for changes or improvement, when necessary, to prevent accident or injuries

Demonstrates the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams and individuals

Demonstrates the ability to openly and honestly deal with internal and external customers while building credibility and maintaining trust

Demonstrates the ability to make sound and thorough decisions

Ability to finish tasks and project deadlines
