Prep Chef required for family restaurant to be responsible for full menu item preparation and daily dinner and weekend specials. Applicant preferred to have 2-5 years experience in restaurant kitchen and in the chef prep position. Applicant will be in charge of preparing all menu items, preparing daily dinner specials, managing stock, order placements, accepting delivery and putting orders away, overlook daily kitchen routine and coach kitchen staff as required. You should be highly self-motivated, a great communicator, team player and willing to lead by example as needed, be highly organized and work well under pressure. You must adhere to service safe practices, temperature, dates and stock rotation. You should have experience is making soups, sauces, dressings and follow strict recipes as provided without deviation. A creative side for making dinner and other specials is also expected. This allows the position to create unique and desirable dishes. The position is 6 days per week and morning hours.
