About us

Ernie’s Auto Parts is rapidly growing and looking to expand its team! We are an automotive parts distributor specializing in recycled, new aftermarket, new surplus, and remanufactured parts. Recycling operations consist of processing vehicles that have been considered a total loss to the public and recycling parts, metals, and resources to drive down cost of everyday repairs. Our recycled inventory consists of late-model import and domestic car and truck parts. Our new aftermarket, new surplus, and remanufactured inventory consists of multiple part types from body panels to mechanical drivetrain.

As an Inventory Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the inventory process of vehicles. Your expertise in automotive parts quality and condition, will be utilized to ensure the rest of the team can count on the right part, in the right location, in the correct condition. If you have a passion for automobiles and enjoy working with your hands, this position may be perfect for you.

Experience:

- Previous experience in a dealership or automotive environment is preferred

- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, auto body repair, or mechanics is a plus

- Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks

Duties:

-Must have RELIABLE transportation

-Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of parts inventory and availability.

-Assist in inventory control by conducting regular stock checks for quality and quantity.

-Process customer orders and ensure timely order fulfillment.

-Collaborate with the sales team to validate part quality.

-Maintain a clean and organized work area.

-Close attention to detail and accurate recording of data will be required.

-Working with a computer / handheld tablet and inventory software.

-Indoor and OUTDOOR duties will be required.

-Automotive knowledge / background is a must

-Prior experience in the auto salvage industry is a plus.

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
