American Mulch Producers is a wholesale mulch production company located in Southfield, MI. During the summer months, we are producing, selling, and delivering bulk mulch to local garden centers, supply yards, landscapers, and homeowners. We recycle clean logs and wood chips all year round and recycle leaves during the fall. During the winter months, we are a bulk and bagged salt supplier open 24-hours during inclement weather.
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients and ensuring their satisfaction. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
Job Duties:
Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a timely and professional manner.
Provide accurate information about our products and services to customers.
Utilize Google Calendar, Google Maps and QuickBooks online to schedule residential and commercial deliveries.
Monitor and track deliveries to ensure we are meeting the delivery schedule.
Work with drivers to ensure they are meeting delivery timeframes and customer delivery requirements.
Answer incoming driver calls and communicate any issues with drivers/customers/management.
Utilize QuickBooks online to process customer transactions in person, via phone, and email.
Making outgoing customer calls
Perform general clerical duties, such as data entry, filing, and record keeping.
Maintain customer records and update information as necessary.
Process returns, exchanges, and refunds according to company policies.
Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products or services to customers.
Inventorying and restocking of products in retail space.
Making coffee and restocking snacks for customers throughout the day
Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment
Ability to adapt to changes in the workplace such as working different schedules, assignments, and shifts.
Ability to assist with other projects and tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
Experience utilizing Google Calendar and Google Maps.
Excellent phone etiquette and active listening skills.
Must be able to work efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with front desk operations and customer service principles.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Ability to create spreadsheets with calculation fields as needed.
Ability to work under time constraints, prioritize tasks and meet specific timelines.
Ability to work in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner with people regardless of their age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, disability, etc.

Salary: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
