Description We are seeking a Medical Data Entry Clerk to join our healthcare team based in Grand Blanc, Michigan. In this role, you will be instrumental in processing data related to medical records and healthcare billing. This role offers a short -term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Accurately transcribe and input patient data and medical records into our healthcare system. Aid in the preparation and organization of charts for scanning and digital storage. Efficiently perform data entry tasks related to healthcare billing. Assist in various duties within the medical records department as needed. Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of all medical data in accordance with healthcare regulations. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary. Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and efficient data management within the department. Adapt to new environments and changes within the department as required. Use Document Scanning and Data Entry skills to enhance efficiency and accuracy of work. Ensure all data processing tasks are performed within the required deadlinesRequirements Proficiency in document scanning and digital file management. Experience or training in data entry, with an emphasis on accuracy and speed. Familiarity with healthcare billing procedures and systems. Ability to handle confidential medical information with discretion. Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in the use of computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures. High school diploma or equivalent education level. Previous experience in a healthcare or hospital setting is preferred. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions when necessary. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
