Contract Duration: 4 years

Pay Range: 21-22.9/hr based on experience

This position is responsible for testing, documenting test results, writing test plans, and providing input into the TPS and DVP&R on projects, possibly spanning multiple labs. Investigates, analyzes, and writes test methods for materials and products. Responsible for determining equipment requirements to meet customer needs. Provides technical guidance and assistance to Test Engineers and Lab Technicians. Consults on technical issues with internal and external customers. Day to Day Tasks: 1. Performs or coordinates testing, documenting of test results, and analysis on projects, possibly spanning multiple labs to evaluate products and materials performance against specified requirements. 2. Provides technical assistance to Test Engineers and Engineering Lab Technicians with assigned projects. 3. Consults on technical issues with internal and external customers. Provides support to Line One requests, Dealers, or direct requests from customers. Also, involved in Technical Design Reviews on projects to which they are directly assigned. 4. May represent the company by actively participating in professional societies or Committees. 5. Investigates, analyzes, writes, and reviews test methods for new and existing materials and products. 6. Performs failure analysis investigations and recommends corrective action. Establishes the guidelines and creates a plan for test method validation through research or field evaluation programs. 7. As a project team member, responsible for providing input into TPSs and DVP&Rs or other project specific documents. Responsible for attending team meeting and creating specific test plans for each testing phase as required. 8. Keeps abreast of new developments in testing methods and equipment by reviewing trade literature, attending seminars, etc. and making recommendations on new equipment for the continuous modernization of the lab. Note: This position performs standard testing processes on a variety of equipment and records and analyzes results. Requires knowledge of industry specific tests and testing equipment. May recommend changes in testing methods or equipment changes. Requires an associate's degree and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
