We are a local West Michigan trucking company. Looking for a dispatcher. We are growing steadily and are seeking an additional full-time dispatcher to join our team. If you are looking for a great work environment and excellent growth potential this is the company for you!

Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following day-to-day tasks:

Must be able to work in a fast pace environment

Must be able to make COLD CALLS to customers and brokers on a daily basis and negotiate

Book freight, plan and dispatch our over-the-road semi-truck drivers

Utilize brokers and load boards to effective seek-out freight options as needed

Ensure drivers are on-schedule and operate with legal hours-of-service limits

Candidates must meet the following requirements in-order to be considered for employment:

Must have a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Dispatch capacity, operating in a truckload environment (semi-tractor/trailer) and have a strong working knowledge of logistical operations.

Must Understand FMCSR with a specific focus on Hours of Service and a good working knowledge of E-Logs.

Must possess excellent customer service skills, including the ability to direct drivers, address customer concerns and resolve problems in a timely and professional manner.

Must have strong computer skills, be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and dispatch programs such as Prophecy , DAT and Truck-stop, have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Must be self-sufficient, well-organized, and a self-starter.

Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.

Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.

Making shipping arrangements as necessary.

Tracking and fixing shipping errors.

Preparing accurate bills and invoices.

Customer Cold Calls and manage Brokers inquiries on a daily basis.

Managing distribution and shipment budgets.

Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards.

Knowledge of DAT & Internet Truck Stop

The position is full-time on SITE ONLY and must have reliable transportation to and from work, this is not 1099 or contract-based.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experienced (Non Manager)

Education Required:

High School Diploma/Equivalency

Pay Range: Hourly Based on Experience

Must have own transportation to and from work

Physically on site, in the company office in Wayland, MI

Fluent in English

Working computer knowledge: Microsoft, Trucker Tools, DAT, Excel, MS Word, etc

Familiar with AI a Plus!
