Our client is a private owner of a portfolio of multifamily properties in Chicago and Michigan. They are looking to add a great maintenance technician to their team in Grand Rapids.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: FULL TIME
· Troubleshoot and perform all necessary repairs within an assigned group of multi-family apartment buildings, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliances.
· Work closely with the property manager to respond to and complete residential service requests in a timely manner and make sure the resident is completely satisfied with the resolution.
· Assist in preparing vacant apartments for market ready status through turn-over repairs and improvements
· Assist in maintaining the exterior of the property to provide clean and acceptable curb appeal at all times
· Perform on-call service and afterhours emergency services, as scheduled, and respond promptly to emergencies.
· Execute the preventive maintenance program
· Complete any additional duties assigned by manager or property supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Good communication skills
· Ability to multitask and prioritize
· High School Diploma/Equivalent
· Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
· Must have your own set of hand tools
· Willingness to submit to a background check
· Preferred 3-5 years maintenance experience
Compensation is based on experience and skill level.
