Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Snow Plow Operator / Shoveler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient snow removal operations during winter months. This role requires a strong understanding of various landscaping and maintenance practices, as well as the ability to operate heavy machinery effectively. The Snow Plow Operator will work in various weather conditions during the winter season (approximately November - March) and must be committed to maintaining high safety standards while performing their duties.
Key Roles
Equipment Operator / Plow Truck Operator
Pay rate - $20 - $28 based on experience
Operates plow trucks, salt trucks, and other large snow removal equipment such as loaders and backhoes.
Executes snow removal tasks as assigned by the Site Supervisor and Crew Leader.
Ensures proper application of de-icing materials to designated areas.
Conducts pre- and post-shift inspections of assigned vehicles and equipment, reporting maintenance issues promptly.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety standards and traffic regulations while operating equipment.
Snow Labor / Sidewalk Shoveler
Pay rate - $20 - $28 based on experience
Performs manual snow removal and ice control on walkways, stairs, entryways, and other pedestrian areas.
Operates small-engine snow removal equipment (e.g., snow blowers) and sidewalk snow removal machinery.
Applies salt, sand, and other de-icing materials as directed.
Assists in maintaining a safe and hazard-free environment for clients and visitors.
Works in coordination with the Site Supervisor and Crew Leader to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
Qualifications
Previous snow removal or landscaping experience preferred.
Ability to operate plow trucks, loaders, or related equipment (for Equipment Operator role).
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive shoveling, bending, and walking.
Ability to work effectively in adverse weather conditions while prioritizing safety
Strong work ethic with the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays during winter weather events.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Chauffeurs license and DOT card (required for Equipment Operator role)
