Construction Manager

Location: Bloomington, MN (2 days/week on site Tues and Wed, otherwise WFH)

Duration: 2+ yearsDescription: Construction Manager - Macro (Closeouts) As a Construction Engineer in Wireless Construction, you will oversee closeout packages from the construction and maintenance projects and help to manage a variety of internal and external partners and vendors for a regional network of cell site projects.

Developing and maintaining detailed schedules for each project and actively managing the scheduled tasks with outside vendors including major milestones, action items, long lead purchases, and any other commitments that would impact the project schedule. Providing regular project status reports to management and the project team. Coordinating and overseeing the issuance of RFQs and the evaluation of responses, based on purchasing requirements, and providing detailed analysis and recommendations for the best to hire Managing regional network projects related to new 4G/5G Macro Construction, cell site modification, expansions, reconfigurations, and system upgrades.

Working with outside vendors including General Contractors, Architectural & Engineering firms and Construction Management firms on project scope, design and plans

Developing and maintaining a detailed schedule for each project and actively managing the scheduled tasks with outside vendors including major milestones, action items, long lead purchases and any other commitments that would impact the project schedule.

Coordinating and overseeing the issuance of RFQs and the evaluation of responses; providing detailed analysis and recommendations for the best firms and issuing purchase orders using PeopleSoft/Quick Bid Purchasing system.

Reviewing close out packages to ensure projects are completed with high quality and according to the project scope.

Requirements: Seven (7) or more years of work experience in telecom construction management. Five years of MACRO tower construction experience Experience managing projects and process/program management experience. Experience with budget tracking, cost estimation, and cost accounting of capital plans. Telecom Construction experience. Ericsson/Nokia/ Motorola and DC plant design knowledge. Knowledge of fiber installation and standards. Experience in telecommunications / data networking or wireless industry. Experience with 4G/5G Macro Cell implementation.
