We’re looking for an engineering student interested in learning engineering principles used in manufacturing to help us develop the next generation of next generation aerospace manufacturing technology. If selected, you will become familiar with Industry 4.0 concepts, state of the art manufacturing techniques, and driving adoption technology in a production setting. This role is onsite, in Burnsville, Minnesota.What You Will Do:

You will identify use cases for new technology manufacturing tools and machines.

You will design and plan layouts for Smart factory assembly and materials handling equipment.

You will help plan and participate in process flow design.

You will do analyses of various manufacturing data, i.e. Work In Process (WIP), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and Statistical Process Control (SPC).

You will research and report on design concepts to optimize deployment of manufacturing techniques.

Some travel required, up to 10%.

You will gain knowledge about IIOT (Industrial Internet of Things) and how it can be used to optimize existing manufacturing processes.

You will learn to understand how to use the mass amount of data collected from Smart Factory solutions.

You will learn how to work within a team to inspire positive change in manufacturing operations.

You will learn reporting and presentation skills.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

Experience with CAD modeling.

Knowledge of Lean principles and concepts.

Ability to work independently.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
