The Controls Engineer supports instrumentation and controls systems for the company's manufacturing plants

This position troubleshoots, supports the development of process/system improvements and preventive and predictive maintenance development

The Controls Engineer monitors contractor performance, as needed, for new instrumentation or controls systems for the company's manufacturing plants

Troubleshoot and diagnose instrumentation and controls issues in industrial equipment and processes using experience, system knowledge and proper instruments appropriate to the voltages and currents encountered

Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other testing devices

Read and translate information found within building and process blueprints and one-line diagrams to install outlets, circuits, load centers and other forms of electrical equipment

Understand calibration procedures for process instruments, which measure temperature, pressure, flow, level and composition and process controls

Install, maintain and troubleshoot VFD's and servo drives

Operate diagnostic equipment including meters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, Thermograph imager, and process calibrators
