Master Electrician Prefer someone in the Midwest but will consider well qualified candidates in other locations. Must have or be able to be Licensed in the state of Minnesota as a Master Electrician 35% Travel The role of the Master Electrician is to provide electrical engineering support for all pre-sales and delivery activities as it relates to our client s products and services. This position is expected to carry an active State of Minnesota Electrical License and may be required to obtain additional state Master and Contractor licenses based on business needs. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Engineering / Electrical Services including defining technical expectations as to what would be required for the execution of our client products and services, project estimating (technical, Bill of Materials, physical layer estimating and scope development), pre-sales support including customer presentations, participating in Site Survey events, field resource training, pilot engineering and support, and technical project escalation. The Master Electrician will also be traveling to customer locations as required, authoring technical specifications for projects, as well as researching and developing new service offers to support new business opportunities. Business Management including participating with departmental and project budgeting efforts, financial analysis of Electrical Services supported projects, maintaining task duration calculation tool, and ensuring the Electrical Services budget on each project is met. Customer and Vendor Interface including participating in customer presentations and potential visits, interfacing with Vendor Partners as it relates to technical issues, assisting the Vendor Management Group as requested in vendor evaluation, and communicating regarding milestone and status reporting of Engineering initiatives and projects. Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Bachelor s Degree or equivalent related experience
- Master Electrician certification for at least 5 years
- Licensed in the state of Minnesota as a Master Electrician
- Minimum 10 years of related experience involving industry design, costing, management, and installation experience, specifically with electrical
- Additional electrical service offers such as MAC support, EMS, LEED projects
- Advanced code enforcement and interpretation
- Experience related to IT deployment initiatives, remodel/construction, physical layer, or other related fields as they relate to electrical services
- Overall understanding of Electrical (Residential/Commercial) codes and industry requirements
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work extended hours occasionally and travel as required
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite tools
- Proficiency in Visio
- Financial aptitude for tracking project budgets, costs, and margins
- Commitment to process improvement and ability offer solutions
- Any relevant certifications a plus
