Key Responsibilities

- Set up, operate, and adjust CNC and manual machines to produce parts with tight tolerances.

- Experience with lathes, mills, grinders, drills, etc.

- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, etc. to ensure accurate production.

- Use tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part dimensions and ensure compliance with specifications.

- Input or modify CNC programs, select appropriate tools, and configure machines for production runs.

- Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.

- Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and report malfunctions to minimize downtime.

- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

- Work with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to optimize production processes and meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining or related field preferred.

- Preferred Experience: 2-4 years of experience in machining or manufacturing preferred

Skills:

- Proficiency with CNC and manual machining equipment.

- Strong understanding of technical drawings and geometric dimensioning/tolerancing (GD&T).

- Familiarity with materials like metals and composites.

- Computer skills for CNC programming and data entry.

- Problem-solving, attention to detail, and time management.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift moderate weights, and work with machinery safely.

Work Environment:

- Typically works in a manufacturing or shop setting with exposure to noise, metal shavings, and lubricants.
