Come join our team!Responsibilities Job DescriptionPerforms diagnostic and therapeutic proceduresPerforms examinations with technical accuracy and in a timely manner.Verifies patient identification and documentationReviews physician order prior to exam or procedure.Communicates pertinent information to the appropriate health care professional.Achieves quality diagnostic images through accurate patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol.Communicates with and educates patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of examRecognizes structures visualized and understands their significance.Accurately produces and records measurements according to protocols. Accurately conveys initial findings and clinical data to radiologists.Participates in crafting a culture of patient safetyDemonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness for facilityEnsures patient data integrityAccurately completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, billing, and status changes in a timely fashion.Performs accurate image identification, record preparation, and digital image manipulation and archiving.Assembles similar relevant exams and reports.Documents initial and ongoing data, interventions, responses/results, or interventions consistent with established policies/procedures/guidelines.Participates as an active team memberOrients and mentors’ new employees and students.Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives.Assumes responsibility for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for positionCleans and maintains rooms and supplies.Accepts unique customer service expectations in ImagingAccurately operates equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines and according to manufacturers’ Information for UseIdentifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is in working order according to Department guidelines.Acquires technical proficiency as new technology is introduced into the facility.Correctly operates and optimizes the use of equipment and implements downtime procedures.QualificationsRequired:

Education at a level to be ARDMS registry eligible, including successful completion of sonography clinical requirements

ARDMS registered in one specialty or ARRT RT (S) registered within 90 days of employment

Additional registrations may be required for specific locations based on the site’s accreditations (for example: ACR, AIUM, IAC) and/or regulatory requirements

Basic Life Support (BLS) - must be current and from American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Preferred:

Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program

ARDMS registered in multiple specialties
