Nursery Person- Assistant Grower Perennial ProductionFull Time Union PositionJob Duties:
Direct and/or perform all cultural practices necessary including: spacing, pruning, spraying, weeding, fertilizing, irrigating etc. and other as needed.
Manage the shipping of product to internal and external customers.
Direct and/or perform all aspects of perennial potting operation.
Maintain communication with supervisor on all pest or cultural problems.
Provide work direction and training to Assistant Nursery Persons, Nursery Helpers, and seasonal employees.
Assist in other areas as needed.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma plus two year certificate in horticulture or related field and two years nursery/landscape production experience including one year in leadership role.
Valid class D Minnesota driver’s license or equivalent.
Good knowledge of landscape plant materials commonly found in Minnesota
Conversational Spanish speaking ability preferred or willing to learn.
Experience with farm equipment.
Pesticide license or willing to obtain one.
Schedule:
Monday- Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
Extended hours and Saturdays if needed
