Description We are in search of a diligent File Clerk to join our team, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role involves managing and maintaining our legal document filing system, ensuring all files are accurately organized and up-to-date. The File Clerk will be responsible for handling confidential information and must possess a strong understanding of legal documentation. Responsibilities: Organize and maintain accurate records of legal documents, ensuring they are filed in an alphabetical and categorical manner Add new documents to existing files as they arrive, ensuring all information is up-to-date Handle highly confidential files and information with utmost discretion Assist with the processing of legal paperwork, including court pleadings and correspondence Manage the filing of medical records where necessary Ensure the workplace is tidy and all files are easily accessible Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed Keep track of physical files and ensure their secure storage Assist in the resolution of any issues related to file management Review all documents for accuracy before they are filed. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a File Clerk or in a similar role Proficiency in clerical duties such as typing, copying, and other administrative tasks Experience in handling correspondence, both written and electronic Demonstrated ability in organizing files and maintaining filing systems Experience with legal documentation, particularly in relation to filing and organization Familiarity with paper filing systems and the ability to keep them updated and accessible Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Good communication skills, both verbal and written Proficiency in using office equipment such as printers, scanners, and photocopiers Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
