Title: Mainframe Project Manager Location: Minneapolis MN (Remote) Duration: Contract Responsibilities will span systems engineering activities managing Mainframe (System z) reporting systems accomplishments based on milestones progress to the Project Program Director. Review/install/implement System z ISV's. Data management migrations with varying degrees of complexity. Security and client support across infrastructure and software in support of ongoing delivery of services and/or operations. REQUIRED:
- Extremely familiar with IBM z/OS operating systems (z/OS V2R2, V2R3 or V2R4)
- Working knowledge in mainframe data access methods. Setup a viable data migration process for a DB2, MQ, CICS and batch environment.
- Verify, document and deploy System z installed ISV' s Ability to install and deploy system z components and functions.
- Proven knowledge with ICF catalogs setup, conversions, and recovery functions.
- ICF user catalogs conversions from an older z/OS Version to z/OS V2R4.
- In-depth knowledge of CA-top Secret functions and upgrades.
- Modify Customer security environment to meet vendor's minimum requirements.
- Support the security product standard exits.
- Support mainframe encryption components
- Define security policies in agreement with customer.
- Familiarity with z14-z15 servers. PowerMax and DLM architecture.
- Hands-on knowledge of mainframe Unix System Services.
- Ability to coordinate resources across various applications, operations, and projects.
- Responsible for staffing, performance management, and compensation decision-making
- Able to communicate effectively with peers, technical support associates, and management.
- Must be a highly motivated self starter able to work without supervision.
