Licensed Dental Hygiene Position Available - PT, FT or Flexible Hours Per Day

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic General Family dental practice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care and committed to providing high-quality dental hygiene services. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health, educating patients, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional care. We are willing to discuss your need for flexible hours, including partial days.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal treatments for patients.

Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and documenting findings.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.

Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive patient care, including four-handed dentistry techniques.

Stay informed about advancements in dental hygiene practices, medical terminology, and coding.

Screening patients during checkups

Performing preventive dental care

Applying fluoride treatments

Taking x-rays and reviewing them for signs of dental diseases

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.

Strong knowledge of general dentistry practices and anatomy.

Experience with medical coding and documentation review is preferred.

Familiarity with infection control procedures in a dental office setting.

Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when needed.
