Job description: Site Manager

SnowPros is looking to hire self-motivated individual with a positive attitude for this upcoming season as a site manager. We have been servicing the metro area since 1997, and we continue to grow with each passing year. We take pride in our work and offer curb-to-curb services for any and all properties. Our team consists of workers with numerous backgrounds of construction and heavy equipment experience. Our contracts are predominantly governmental/educational sites, resulting in low/trace triggers; this means more work/hours for our employees. During the summer months work includes snow sales and asphalt maintenance work and sales. Work includes lot sweeping, patch work, seal coating, crack fill.

Some key points to our company include:

Newer Equipment

Most of our machines are within a few years old. This includes Komatsu front end loaders, small and large-frame Cat Skids, Ford/Dodge crew cab trucks, snowblowers/salters/shovels, etc.

Low Trigger Accounts

We have hundreds of sites that require less than 1” trigger.

In-Between Event Work

Numerous contracts require us to do push backs, relocates, and hauling. We also hold contracts for emergency snow removal requests throughout the city of Minneapolis.

Professionalism

We hold ourselves to a high standard to ensure our customers are worry free, and to help set a productive environment.

Job duties may include:

-Responsible for identifying and communicating employee performance concerns to the direct reporting leader.

-Must be able to drive in all weather conditions while checking on sites and crews

-Manager will primarily be working from a company truck during events and be required to drive a lot.

-Responsible for staying informed, actively problem-solving situations and shifting resources to ensure efficient use of operators during a winter weather event.

-Responsible for communications on individual event start and termination times.

-Responsible for coordinating zone-specific, after-event cleanup and snow hauling operations

-Be present in the field and available to assist on job sites as needed depending on shifting needs and priorities.

-Provides training and mentorship to team members to ensure success.

-Ensures safety procedures are followed, accidents, workers’ compensation and property damage claims are properly documented and reported. Reporting incidents to the General Manager and Owner.

-Demonstrates safe and proficient use and maintenance of all equipment used for snow removal and de-icing.

-Provides support and/or documentation General Manager/Owner when a dispute/conflict arises with managed employees or subcontractors.

-Performs post-event site inspections and quality control over managed sites within their zone.

-Demonstrates high quality decision making in a fast-paced and quickly evolving environment.

-Meets timelines and quality standards for all deliverables including record keeping.

-Ensures a safe and clean work environment is maintained by all team members.

-Strong customer communication skills; both interactional and follow through.

-Is a role model for professionalism.

-Proficient in the use of various operating systems and technology to track and report jobs.

-Provides excellent customer service.

-Works collaboratively with the team and company leadership.

-Demonstrates timely and effective communication- verbal, non-verbal, and written.

-Consistently follows all company policies and procedures.

-Communication and behavior are consistent with company values.

-Employee may be assigned other duties within the scope of their skills.

-Responsible for pre and post winter event duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

-Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

-Valid DOT card or ability to obtain one.

-Ability to pass a pre- employment drug test.

-3 seasons of commercial snow removal supervisory experience.

-Ability to successfully use an electronic tablet and job tracking software.

Preferred

-Commercial Driver’s License.

-Experience with Google Suite, mobile apps, knowledge of the metro area.

We are a W-2 payroll company that offers competitive wages with ample opportunity for overtime after 40 hrs a week. Please know that we do not offer cash compensation; we pay on time via direct deposit every other Friday.
