JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
o The position is for work in the field. Most time will be spent on jobsites, working in the field. Some time in the shop for planning & preparation.
o The position is best described as a Field Superintendent that is skilled & handy, and can switch between the following modes of work:
1. Supervising our subcontracted work crews that perform roofing, siding, gutters and carpentry work. Our jobs tend to be detailed, and as such training & supervision is required. Also included is ensuring progress is made each day. Taking initiative and being able to direct / demonstrate to the crews are important attributes.
2. Preparing for / setting up jobs. There is often planning & preparation required to ensure the upcoming jobs run smoothly.
3. Job closeout, internal inspection and punch out. Closing our jobs and making sure all the I’s are dotted and T’s are crossed. Ensure customer satisfaction.
4. From time to time, performing small repairs “hands on”. Most work is subcontracted, but the position will operate out of a Sprinter van with complete tools and easy tasks are completed when it makes sense to do so (bring in the crew for larger or tricky repairs).
o Follow a schedule as set by NLR Production / Operations Manager.
o On days worked, maintain daily communication.
o Communication & Documentation: You must be able to communicate with the rest of the team, and with our clients. This means that you are good with and responsive with phone calls, text messages and email communication including attaching photos.
o Must be good at taking photos – our company app synchronized photos across our team.
o You must be able to see things through to final completion & customer satisfaction.
o This is a field position but it is expected that the employee will start and end their day at the office in Plymouth, to pick up and drop off the vehicle each day.
o Work approximately 40 hours per week on average.
REQUIREMENTS
You MUST have a MINIMUM of 4 years of experience specifically related to exterior construction (roofing, siding & gutters).
Must be punctual, flexible, a self-starter each day, and a team player
Ability to climb a ladder and lift 75 lbs.
