Health Unit Coordinator responsibilities:
Enter physician’s orders with high degree of accuracy.
Schedulemedical appointments and transportation.
Maintain electronic medical records for accurate census data.
Provide ongoing customer service to residents, family members and facility visitors.
Assist withinventory and delivery of nursing supplies.
Complete other tasks as requested.
Health Unit Coordinator skills and requirements:
Experience as a healthunit coordinator, or health information certification desired.
Knowledge of medical terminology required.
Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
Accurate and proficient computer skills including Windows based applications.
Time management skillsfor working in a fast-paced, multi-taskenvironment.
