your life's best work.(sm)A Senior DevOps Azure Cloud Engineer is responsible for serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Azure Infrastructure. This role will advise and consult with organizational business and IT teams and leaders on Azure Cloud solutions based on corporate standards and industry trends. This selected candidate will work to build out the infrastructure of our client's Azure Cloud environments to support either born-in-the-cloud or hybrid cloud designs.You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:- Partner with Network, Storage, and Compute Architects to define requirements, best practices, and execute cloud infrastructure builds on behalf of our clients
- Actively participate in the development and socialization of Infrastructure Solution Road Maps as part of the organizations Infrastructure Center of Excellence for Azure
- Partner with team members to strategize how to effectively and efficiently perform on premise to cloud migrations without impact to operations
- Maintain architectural diagram designs with sufficient detail to include technology and vendor components and maintain run books suitable for implementation
- Understand written scope of services, solution descriptions and assumptions to develop a technical approach while documenting risks and mitigation plans
- Act in a strategic capacity as a senior technical expert for all current Azure Cloud based solutions while keeping abreast of future Azure Cloud solutions
- Develop and direct other Cloud engineers during out ITO and BPO engagements
- 6+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience with understanding of Compute, Storage and Networking
- 3+ years of working in or around public or private cloud environments
- 2+ years of working in Microsoft Azure in a solution engineer or architect
- 1+ years of being a product owner with experience Road Mapping the lifecycle of a security tool
- Experience migrating infrastructure from on premise environments to Azure cloud
- Automation experience with ARM Templates, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or equivalent experience
- Scripting experience with Power Shell, Python, or equivalent language
- Bachelor's or equivalent Degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field
- ITIL v3 certification
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification
- Healthcare IT experience with compliance such as HIPAA and/or HITRUST, experience with security controls
- Background in Azure monitoring, alerting, and diagnostics, including Application Insights, Log Analytics, Network Monitoring, Service Health, and dashboards
- Provide engineering / architectural support of containers as a service on Azure cloud
