Job Title: Sr. Billing SpecialistJob Description
Work closely with Project Managers to generate accurate client billings. Prepare and review AIA billing documents to accurately reflect project progress and costs.
Collaborate with project managers to establish billing schedules and deadlines to ensure timely submission of payment applications.
Maintain organized records of all billing-related documents, including change orders, contracts, and lien waivers. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project managers to resolve billing inquiries, discrepancies, and change requests.
Process customer payments timely, contact customers to discuss their overdue payments and update account status, locate customers using appropriate resources, process payments and refunds, and call customers to resolve billing and credit issues.
Take actions in order to encourage timely payments and reduce accounts receivable balances.
Lead or participate in cross-functional projects to work through initiatives, streamline processes to increase accuracy and efficiency.
Establish and enforce accounting policies and procedures, ensuring proper internal controls exist.
Assist with special projects, billing/collection research, and ad hoc analysis as needed.
Review contracts for billing requirements, understanding billed vs non-billable costs, over/under billed, and balancing/auditing of job cost to billed.

Must have 2+ years of AIA Billing Preparation
