This is a full-time position within the Admissions Department.Job Responsibilities:This position serves as part of the Strategic Enrollment and Marketing division. The Associate Director of Admissions Operations plays a critical role in overseeing the processing of various applications for admission, while ensuring all policies, procedures and data integrity standards are met. This individual develops processes to support any new initiatives and partnerships. They also supervise the processing staff and oversee the student worker staff and are responsible for the hiring, ongoing training, and support of these teams. This individual will find answers to complex problems and resolve escalated processing challenges, therefore playing a vital role in admissions leadership.Minimum QualificationThe following qualifications are required of all applicants seeking consideration for this position. Minimum two (2) years of progressively responsible supervisory or leadwork experience.
Minimum two (2) years of experience in designing and implementing policies and procedures to support goals.
Ability to direct and enable the performance of a team of three (3) employees dedicated to an ongoing business activity/function. Develop work structures and processes to accomplish set goals through performance standards while conveying clear expectations to staff. Develop and monitor performance measures and results that hold staff accountable.
Ability to review and manage multiple systems and evaluate their performance for accuracy.
Equipped to identify and interpret program requirements, policies, regulations, and problem areas by analyzing relevant data and formulate alternative courses of action.
Demonstrated knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations governing the programs of the MinnState system.
Skilled in the use of various common PC tools, i.e., databases, spreadsheets, and word processors (Microsoft Office Suite).
Preferred Qualification
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
Proficiency with the Minnesota State Integrated Statewide Record System (ISRS) or other similar student information system.
Knowledge of the state’s financial and budgetary policies and procedures.
Knowledge of performance management within a team environment, including all elements of employee supervision such as hiring, discipline, firing, coaching, and directing.
Ability to develop and cultivate a strong team environment and a customer service culture.
Knowledge of laws, rules, principles, theories, and techniques governing activities of Admissions Materials Management.
Knowledge of and ability to utilize participatory management techniques.
Ability to successfully work with a diversity of people.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of student information or other database systems, email programs, Microsoft Office products, document imaging systems and knowledge databases
