Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain computer systems including cloud, WAN, LAN, storage, and desktop
- Provide escalated service desk support (L2/L3) and ensure adherence to SLA's
- Enhance security controls as required
- Manage system upgrades and new systems implementation
- Design and develop software automation processes
- Develop and upkeep procedures to ensure uptime
- Monitor system performance, identifying areas for improvement, and communicating problems and recommendations to management accordingly
- Design and implement Disaster Recovery systems and processes
- Troubleshoot networking issues and improve security efficiencies and software deployment processes
- Manage and maintain security controls including Patch Management, Systems Hardening, SANS Top-20 Controls, Change Management, IDS, IPS, Log Monitoring, Network Switches, Edge Firewalls, Anti-Malware Protection
- 8+ years of relevant Information Technology experience
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, or comparable field
- Experience with Microsoft systems, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting in a VMware environment and utilizing Active Directory
- Skills in networking, anti-malware, encryption, data loss prevention, PowerShell scripting, and Microsoft System Center products
- Effective presentation and communication skills at all levels, both internally and externally
- Cloud experience, particularly Azure
- Experience in financial industry
