Application Systems Specialist

Job DescriptionInsight Global is looking for an Application Systems Specialist. In your role at the hospital, youll delve into various business applications to understand their functionalities, workflows, and dependencies, ensuring they align with departmental needs. Youll integrate these applications and systems to enhance operational efficiency. Your VMware duties will involve managing the environment, creating virtual machines, performing backups, troubleshooting issues, and allocating resources. Youll also be responsible for maintaining and supporting the hospitals Windows infrastructure, including servers (from Windows 2008 onwards) and desktops (transitioning from Windows 10 to 11). This includes managing active directory, security protocols, group policies, DNS, and DHCP. Your knowledge of network and security principles, such as IP addressing, subnetting, routing, switching, and firewalls, will be crucial in maintaining a secure and efficient network. Additionally, youll oversee Citrix environments, ensuring any changes are smoothly integrated and do not disrupt hospital operations. Effective documentation and communication will be key, as youll need to keep detailed records of system configurations, workflows, and troubleshooting procedures, and clearly communicate with hospital staff and stakeholders.
