Credit Portfolio Sr Analyst Position will be part of the in-Business Risk Management Decision Support team overseeing the analysis, implementation, and validation of the Mortgage Business proprietary Automated Underwriting system. Automation is within Dark Matter’s Empower System known as Decision Engine/Decision Select. Individual will be responsible to complete independent implementation validations and/or testing of vendor related system releases, proprietary automated underwriting system (AUS) and credit bureau requirements. Position requires comprehensive knowledge of Mortgage process, origination system, understanding of multiple areas within business functions, and how they interact to achieve objectives.Responsibilities:
Participate in developing and optimizing Decision Select conditions, FNMA message output, ensuring consistency and regulatory compliance, and assist in the implementation of those policies, processes, and other related initiatives.
Design, develop and execute testing in lower-level environments of vendor related system releases, proprietary automated underwriting system (AUS) and credit bureau requirements.
Monitor and analyze daily reporting of Mortgage Production incidents, UAT Defects, serving as an escalation point of contact. Collaborates cross functionally to resolve issues which fall within in-business Risk and Originations.
Strengthen strategic impact by effective optimization utilizing risk automation to support the mortgage loan origination system(s) and process efficiencies.
Drives and maintains stability of risk automation through testing of vendor and strategic initiatives affecting Citi’s internal fulfillment, external customers, and AUS recommendations.
Monitor and report on test execution process and results.
Communicate cross functional requirements and understanding of business processes and workflow.
Collaborate in identifying process improvements and efficiencies to support business unit goals through dissecting issues and making recommendations.
Understand Citi’s approach to managing risk, as described in our Risk Governance Framework, and how it relates to their roles and responsibilities.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
Ensure escalation of all risks and issues to manager and senior stakeholders in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
5 years Mortgage Underwriting or 6-10 years Mortgage Processing required.
Expertise in Credit Fundamentals, Credit Policy and Mortgage Lending Programs required.
Proficient in Mortgage loan origination systems (LoanFX / Empower a plus).
UAT testing in mortgage industry a plus.
Comprehensive knowledge of Mortgage process and origination system and understanding of multiple areas within business functions and how they interact to achieve the objectives.
Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities, and the ability to complete assignments within required deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
