Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to become an integral part of our team in SAINT LOUIS, Missouri. This role primarily involves the processing of customer applications and the maintenance of accurate customer records. The position is within the Wholesale Distribution industry and offers a long term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Ensure the accuracy of invoice processing and matching invoices to purchase orders Review invoices for accuracy, making necessary corrections Address invoices flagged as duplicates and process them accordingly Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner Perform administrative tasks as needed to support the accounts payable function Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary Maintain accurate customer data entry records Utilize Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently Maintain accurate customer credit records. Requirements Must possess skills in Accounts Payable (AP) Requires proficiency in Data Entry Knowledge in Data Entry - Numeric is essential Must be able to Perform Data Entry tasks efficiently Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the Wholesale Distribution industry Excellent communication and organizational skills are necessary Must demonstrate high attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Knowledge of general accounting principles and regulations is required Familiarity with accounting software would be advantageous Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
