Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team based in Springfield, Virginia. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the operations of our business by managing vendor communications, processing invoices, and ensuring the accuracy of our financial data. This position is crucial to maintaining the financial health and efficiency of our organization.Responsibilities: Accurately process vendor invoices for payment, ensuring all details align with vendor agreements. Utilize software tools such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data. Conduct regular check runs to ensure timely payments to vendors. Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve any discrepancies or issues with invoices. Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions and vendor agreements. Perform account reconciliations to ensure all financial data is accurate. Prioritize tasks to ensure all invoices and other accounts payable tasks are completed in a timely manner. Use data entry skills to update and maintain financial databases and systems. Implement coding invoices to accurately categorize company expenditures. Work closely with other team members to streamline and improve accounts payable processes.
