Responsible for leading the Product Engineering & development group in the NPD, reverse engineering, and providing customer technical support for engine design, turbochargers, and fuel systems modification.
Develop and launch products according to APQP methodologies.
Direct multiple project timelines while ensuring customer requirements are being met.
Evaluate, implement, and monitor processes and operating systems for manufacturing engines, turbochargers, and engine components.
Perform research and development work on new products or additions to existing products.
Provide fallout estimates on all components of the product being researched to remanufacture viability and related costing issues.
Assist in other disciplines during all phases of new product cost quotations, development, pilot runs, and introduction to production departments
Administer and work closely with the production and quality departments to provide a safe working environment and a quality product.
Provide strong department leadership and communicate a strategic vision for the organization.
Education and Experience Requirements
BS/BA Degree in Engineering or a combination of education and work experience.
5 + year of engineering leadership preferably in a product design/development capacity
Able to make judgments and decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions.
Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Must be able to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
